What should the Motto for The State of Jefferson be?

BREAKING NEWS:The Jefferson State Declaration committee for Shasta County kicks off tonight in Redding! Anyone wishing to work on this is invited to attend 6pm Destiny Fellowship Church 2570 So. Bonnyview Rd.

Hi Everyone,

Please read, pass it along to all on your email list and post it on your facebook pages but most importantly make those phone calls and send emails before 1PM today.  Again, those of us in the North State don’t have much power to stop this bill but your friends and families  in the bay area and Southern CA do have the power to make the difference.

Senator Steinberg’s SB 1 Sustainable Communities Investment Authorities (Agenda 21) , which is the resurrection of Redevelopment Agencies, but much worse is up for a vote today in the Assembly Appropriations committee.

It this passes Cities; counties; special districts like schools, police, fire, parks and libraries; and public corporations (taxing agencies) can appoint an unelected “Authority” that will have the power to take any private property by eminent domain; create debt and project area boundaries without voter approval; and taxation with a majority vote per the legislative counsel’s report.

This bill is very deceptive and will add to the California Constitution a new Government Regional Framework and governance system identified through the 118 pages of California Forward’s Prop. 31 (Under the Government Performance and Accountability Act” that didn’t get voter approval in November 2012 election.   Unincorporated and rural areas are under attack, because we are not sustainable with high density housing and transit.

Please call  the Assembly Appropriations Committee Friday 8-30-13 at 1:00.   If it passes here then it goes before the full Assembly floor where it is likely to pass then it will become law.  Contact your friends and families in the bay area to alert them and to ask them to call their Democrat Representatives to stop this madness!!

This is just another reason to form the State of Jefferson!!!!!

Siskiyou County Supervisors Support THE STATE OF JEFFERSON

Elizabeth Bradley
August 13,2013 11:45 a.m.

Minutes ago, a crowd eager to discuss the possibility of seceding from the State of California, had packed into a the small discussion room of The Siskiyou County Courthouse. Those who had arrived early enough for the meeting were faced with the choice to stand in the hallway or be seated on the floor. Struggling to hear over the daily humming’s of the courthouse, everyone knew one thing was clear,  The board of supervisors had  acknowledged the need of the people. They urged the citizens in attendance  to begin the preparations for forming The State of Jefferson. “Our Government is simply not working for us” commented Marcia Armstrong, a Siskiyou County supervisor.  A moving opening speech by Mark Baird of Scott Valley, was followed by an  hour of comments from the public. The people spoke of taxation without representation, loss or property and water rights, issues of education, environmental sustainability and the concern for the future generation were brought forth for discussion.  Some who were in attendance had traveled from Tehama and Jackson County to offer support for Statehood efforts. Today, a community came together as a family and shared consensus. The State of Jefferson must, and will form in order to save our way of life and traditions that we value in Siskiyou County , and all the counties who wish to see a Jeffersonian future. The topic will be on the next agenda for the County Board of Supervisors to discuss. I will post in the future when I know the date and time of the next meeting so we can all gather an begin building the cornerstones of our Jeffersonian future.
